Privacy Policy

BN1 Prospect College Recruiting ("BN1 Prospect College Recruiting," "we," "us") runs a recruiting network where athletes, parents and guardians, high school and club coaches, and college coaches connect. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it and the choices you have. By using BN1 Prospect College Recruiting you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form.
Athlete profiles: sport and program, positions, graduation year, date of birth, high school, state, height, GPA, club or travel team, bio, stats and measurables, highlight film links and profile photo.
College coaches: school, division, title, sport, official staff email used for verification, recruiting needs and any program logo you upload.
High school and club coaches: team or school name, level, sport, role, state and, if you choose, a school or club email.
Parents and guardians: the name, email and relationship an athlete enters when inviting you, and your account details once you join.
Things you post or send: posts, likes, messages, stat verification requests and decisions, reports and anything else you add.
Payments: if you buy Premium, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card details. We receive your name, email, plan and payment status, but never your full card number.

Information created when you use the service

Recruiting activity, such as profile views by coaches, how often an athlete appears in coach searches, follows, recruiting boards, your recruiting tracker and notifications.
Basic technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, dates and times, and sign-in attempts, which we use for security and to keep the service working.

Cookies and similar technology

We use a cookie to keep you signed in and browser storage for basic visit counts that help us understand how the site is used. We don't use advertising cookies and we don't track you across other websites.

2. How we use information

To run BN1 Prospect College Recruiting: building profiles, search, feeds, messaging, recruiting boards, trackers and notifications.
To verify college coaches through their official staff email or a manual review, and to review high school and club coaches before they can verify stats.
To show which stats a player's own coach has confirmed.
To protect younger athletes: checking age, linking parents and guardians, and requiring guardian approval before college coaches can message athletes under 18.
To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, enforcing our Terms, and blocking or suspending accounts.
To send service emails, such as verification codes and password resets.
To fix problems, improve the service and comply with the law.

3. Who can see your information

Athlete profiles and stats are shown to verified college coaches, to the athlete's linked parents or guardians and to the athlete's linked high school or club coaches. Some profile details, such as name, photo, sport, school and posts, can also appear to other signed-in members in feeds and search.
Date of birth is used to check age and whether a parent or guardian needs to be linked. It isn't shown on your profile.
Messages are visible to the people in the conversation and, for athletes under 18, to the athlete's linked parents or guardians. Our team may review messages when they are reported or when we investigate a safety concern.
High school and club coaches can see their linked players' profiles, stats and which colleges have shown interest. They never see players' messages.
Coaches' names, titles and schools are shown to athletes and families so they know who they are talking to.

4. Athletes under 18

BN1 Prospect College Recruiting is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that someone under 13 has created an account, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 is using the service, contact us at cntc4@comcast.net.

Athletes from 13 to 17 should use BN1 Prospect College Recruiting with a parent's or guardian's permission. Their parent or guardian can link to their account, approve which college coaches can message them and read every coach conversation. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to review, correct or delete their teen's information.

5. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We share information only:

with other members as described in section 3;
with service providers that host the app, store data, send email and process payments (Stripe) for us, who may use it only to provide those services;
when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that sharing is needed to protect the safety of any person, especially a minor, or to investigate fraud or abuse;
as part of a merger, sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy will continue to protect your information.

6. Links to other sites

Highlight film is usually hosted on other sites such as YouTube, Hudl or Vimeo. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for them.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account in Account settings, we delete your profile, photo, posts, messages and other account information right away. If you ask us by email instead, we do it within 30 days. Copies in backups may last a short time longer. We may keep limited information when we need it for safety, to resolve disputes or to meet legal obligations.

8. Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time from your account.
Athletes can block college coaches and choose which stats to share and send for verification.
You can delete your account at any time in Account settings (select your name or photo at the top of any page).
To get a copy of your information, or to ask us to correct or delete it, email cntc4@comcast.net from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, including New Jersey, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We honor those requests and won't treat you differently for making them.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords and limited access to protect your information. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BN1 Prospect College Recruiting grows. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and we'll notify members in the app before any significant change takes effect.
